American Association of Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA)
Our laboratory in Richmond, VA maintains accreditation though the A2LA. Our certificate number is 1873.01. The certificate and accredited scope of work may be viewed directly on the A2LA website.

United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS)
The laboratory in Europe, located in Kingston upon Thames near London, maintains accreditation through UKAS. Our certificate number is 2578. The certificate and accredited scope of work may be viewed directly on the UKAS website.

Molins, PLC.
While Arista Laboratories is an independent laboratory, it is an owned subsidiary of Molins PLC, a publicly held engineering company that specializes in the design and manufacturing of specialist machinery.

CORESTA
Arista Laboratories is a full voting member of CORESTA, an international organization for the exchange of tobacco related science.

International Standards Organization (ISO)
Our laboratory is a member of the United States Technical Analytical Group (USTAG) which is a voting member of the International Standards Organization (ISO). Many of the analytical methods we use are issued by ISO.

The World Health Organization (WHO)
WHO provides guidance on tobacco programs for the control of tobacco usage. The Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) is under the auspices of WHO.

U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
On June 22, 2009, the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act was signed into law. This legislation gives the FDA the authority to regulate tobacco products.

Texas Testing Requirements
Texas Administrative Code (Title 25, Part 1, Chapter 101, Rule 101.5) requires manufacturers to submit nicotine yields for a subset of their brands.

Massachusetts Testing Requirements
Massachusetts Administrative Code (Title 105 CMR 660) requires manufacturers to submit nicotine yields for a subset of their brands.

Fire Safe Cigarettes
This coalition calls for cigarette manufacturers to market only cigarettes that have passed fire safety testing based on the ASTM 2187 standard.
